Description

Koh-I-Noor Toison D'or Soft Pastel Set, 48 pcs.

Koh-i-Noor Hardtmuth is a Czech manufacturing company of stationery products. Having been established in 1790, it is one of the oldest stationery companies in the world. At the 1889 World Fair in Paris, the Hardtmuths displayed their pencils - each pencil was encased in a yellow cedar-wood barrel. The inspiration for the name was the Koh-i-Noor diamond (Persian for "Mountain of Light''), part of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom, and the largest diamond in the world at the time. In 1900, the iconic yellow pencil 1500 won the prestigious award at the Grand Prix in Paris and became the most famous pencil in the world. The quality standards remain until today!
